Some features and services only become usable once you unlock them with QXC. This article explains the different kinds of unlock, and why an unlock is never refunded.
Kinds of unlock
The catalog at Services is grouped by billing type:
- Free and Pay-per-use are always usable right away.
- One-time needs a single unlock, then gives permanent access.
- Periodic needs a cycle-based subscription, up to 120 cycles per subscribe or renew.
- Subscription-only is granted automatically if your current plan already includes it.
A gated blog post uses the same mechanism: you see a preview, and pay a flat QXC amount to unlock the full content — see QxBlog for more.
Never refunded
Every unlock — whether for a blog post, a service, HANU, or a short link — is a one-way action and is never refunded. If you try to unlock something you already own, the system just confirms you already have it, without charging QXC again.
Confirming before you pay
Every unlock requires you to confirm your recent sign-in (Sudo) before it completes.
